We believe that pregnancy, labor, and postpartum can be vulnerable times for parents and you should feel supported throughout this period, no matter how you decide to give birth. We want to help educate you about your birth and help you feel like birth is a natural, normal process. As Jane Weideman said, “Giving birth should be your greatest achievement, not your greatest fear.”
We love helping husbands and partners be involved in the birth experience, as far as they’re comfortable. We want them to feel like they can help you through labor, and be just as involved as you are. We will show them ways to help make you comfortable during pregnancy and labor. Your husband/partner has an intimate knowledge of you and we have an intimate knowledge of birth; together, we make the ultimate team. We will help them feel included every step of the way.
We teach our clients about all their options during pregnancy and birth. We won’t leave you high and dry and we look forward to educating you about your pregnancy and upcoming birth. If you develop a medical condition while pregnant and would like to try natural remedies, we can point you in the right direction so that you can bring it up with your care provider.
If you don’t already have a care provider or birth facility that you feel will help you to achieve your goals for this birth, we can help you find one. We have worked hard to establish good working relationships with care providers in the area and can help you find the one that will help you to have your ideal birth. Regardless of where or how you choose to birth, we can assist you in your goals and help you have a positive birth experience.
We specialize in VBAC, VBAMC, high-risk pregnancies, and diabetes during pregnancy (Type 1 Diabetes, Type 2 Diabetes, Gestational Diabetes).
In addition to birth doula services, we also offer The Bradley Method® classes, mother blessing ceremonies, moxibustion to help turn breech babies, placenta encapsulation, and Bengkung belly binding.
